Introducing Atlona’s OMEGA Series tools for collaboration in the AT-OME-ST31 and AT-OME-SW32. These two products enhance collaboration, training, and education by allowing users to connect devices that utilize a USB-C port. Both of these products are ideal for BYOD (bring your own device) type applications in fast-paced corporate environments. OME-ST31 HDMI & USB-C Switcher

 

The OME-ST31 is an all-in-one switcher, controller, and extender featuring a USB-C input and mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs. AV signals up to 4K/60 is deliverable over HDBaseT up to 100m (330 feet). All inputs including the local HDMI output support 4K HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 up to 18 Gbps data. Furthermore, 4K downscaling to 1080p at 60Hz, 30Hz, or 24Hz is possible for the HDMI.

The OME-ST31 is engineered for use with Omega Series receivers and switchers, including Atlona’s HDVS receiver, the AT-HDVS-SC-RX scaler, and AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX receiver.

 

OME-SW32 3×2 Matrix Switcher for HDMI & USB-C

 

The OME-SW32 is a 3×2 matrix switcher which that features audio de-embedding and also a USB-C input. Similar to the OME-ST31, the OME-SW32 supports 4K HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 at data rates up to 18 Gbps. In regards to the OME-SW32, the unit has precise switching modes that involve unrestricted matrix switching, one of the outputs fixed to an input, or mirrored outputs.

The OME-SW32’s design allow it to work side-by-side with displays, video conferencing, and interfacing with networked AV systems. This flexible matrix switcher is compact and can easily mount under conference tables for an ultra clean look. Furthermore, features such as automatic input selection, automatic display control, balanced audio de-embed, control via TCP/IP and RS-232 adds convenience to any automated AV system.

 

Takeaway

 

The OME-ST31 is a cost-effective solution for auditoriums and lecture halls when placed in a rack for presenters to easily access. Presenting 4K video content through a projector, while optimizing for a 1080p screen is ideal for the OME-ST31.

The OME-SW32, on the other hand, is perfect for rooms with dual displays. This unit can also be a significant upgrade to a video conferencing system adding 4K/60 capability with down-conversion to 1080p for the codec. For larger systems in conference or classrooms,  the OME-SW32 can be integrated into a larger AV switcher or matrix switcher.
