AJA Io IP Professional Audio and Video I/O over IP for Thunderbolt 3

The AJA Io IP Pro audio and video I/O over IP for Thunderbolt 3 is a powerful tool for multi-channel HD audio and video I/O requirements over IP. It features an ingest and output across a 10 GigE IP network with local monitoring over 3G-SDI and HDMI 2.0. Seamless Audio and Video I/O over IP Transition

Video ingestion, at its core, is the process of capturing, transferring, and storing video files in an organized manner. Undoubtedly, very important in broadcasting and post-production applications where audio and video I/O over IP is critical. Thunderbolt 3 enables the Io IP to move your video and audio in HD or SD from your Thunderbolt-equipped Mac or PC to anywhere over the network you choose. The unit is also portable enabling professionals to work in the studio or on set with a single standard connection.

Thunderbolt 3 Via USB-C

The USB-C that does it all, Thunderbolt 3 offers twice the speed of its predecessor Thunderbolt 2 standard with up to 40 Gps of throughput. Furthermore, Io Ip’s Thunderbolt 3 ports allows professionals to transfer large files including 4K video in seconds. Also, the dual ports are great for daisy chaining, offering true versatility.

 

 

HDR (High Dynamic Range)

The ability to display a broader range of colors plus superior contrast ratio for brighter whites and darker blacks is why HDR is a sought after feature. Io IP offers this support for HD HDR to HDMI compatible displays supporting HDR10 and HLG with HDR Infoframe metadata.

 

 

The front panel is equipped with a headphone volume control and a headphone output. Towards the middle is a level meter for 8 ch audio that illuminates. Also, the power indicator is located right of the level meter.

 

Looking at the back panel is a reference and LTC I/O. There are also two SFP+ cages for multi-channel I/O, creating easy routing of audio and video I/O over IP networks. Above the SFP+ cages are local SDI and HDMI outputs. For audio monitoring, users can choose from either four analog, eight embedded HDMI, or sixteen embedded SDI audio channels. Lastly, the unit is outfitted with dual Thunderbolt 3 ports for extra flexibility.

 

The unit offers a familiar IO experience for any current 2K, HD/SD, high frame rate, deep color, and HDR workflows to move into an IP stream. Io IP offers the flexibility to keep current as the IP transition proceeds. In addition, IP makes distance a non-factor, enabling users to edit, playback, and deliver from anywhere in the world.
