The KUMO 6464 router provides a remarkable 64 inputs and 64 outputs of 3G-SDI audio and video while ensuring a slim and small size 4RU profile. KUMO 6464 has a sophisticated and powerful web-based network control and allows any SDI-based signal up to 3G-SDI, such as HD and even 4K/UHD signals. It has the same high-quality standards as all AJA KUMO products. Kumo 6464 is ideal for use in any installation where you need a balance of size and routing capacity.
Features
Compact Routing
The KUMO 6464 compact SDI router offers robust signal control and allows full broadcast specifications over SDI, 3G-SDI, and HD-SDI with quality that exceeds SMPTE specifications. It is 1.5 inches deep, making it suitable for any production, or postproduction environment, broadcast from mobile sports trucks, corporate video installations or live theatrical A/V rigs.
KUMO SDI routers are available in four configurations:
1) KUMO 6464 allows 64 3G-SDI inputs and outputs,
2) KUMO 3232 supports 32 3G-SDI inputs and outputs,
3) KUMO 1616 allows 16 3G-SDI inputs and outputs,
4) KUMO 1604 supports 16 3G-SDI inputs and four 3G-SDI outputs.
Strong Signal Control
The KUMO 6464 affordable distribution amplifier routes a single input to all outputs without the requirement of additional patch panels or distribution amplifiers. KUMO 6464 can, therefore, replace multiple distribution amplifiers.
By customization, KUMO routers can be configured for ganged dual and quad port routing, enabling users to combine multiple inputs and outputs for Dual Link, 4K, and UltraHD workflows. It allows flawless distribution of uncompressed or Raw 4K and UltraHD signals for the duration of production or post facility. Switch the router back to HD/SD function as required, giving the user flexibility to route almost all format in their facility.
Broadcast Standard Reliability
Designed for significant broadcast, production and post environments, KUMO routers are built to AJA standards that surpass SMPTE specifications. The use of top-quality components coupled with dual dispensable power supplies enables the highest signal quality and maximum uptime even in the unforeseen event of a power supply failure.
Simple Installation and Configuration
KUMO routers are network ready by running embedded Linux®, and they enable powerful HTTP control via a web browser - without the requirement of any additional software.
With KUMO's auto-detect Bonjour™/Zeroconf protocols, only connect KUMO to your computer or network and the system will self-configure, ready for use. Alternatively, standard network configuration enables access to each KUMO through its default IP address. Once you connect to KUMO using a web browser, configure the full TCP/IP settings, choose and name KUMO routers, name sources, and outputs, and perform all operational functions.
