Pigtail module DisplayPort extension via one-strand multimode fiber
optic cable with DPCD support
The DisplayPort fiber-optic pigtail module unit with DPCP support
transmits a DisplayPort up to 1000 ft (300m) via a single-strand 50/
125µm multimode (OM2) SC-terminated fiber optic cable. The Extender
supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA). Compared to similar
copper-based units, the optical signal transmission offers galvanic
isolation and better resistance to electromagnetic interference. The
Transmitter (Tx) and Receiver (Rx) modules eliminate stress and
clutter on the source and display connector panels. The compact size
of the EXT-DP-CP-FM10 makes them perfect to fit neatly behind
equipment for a neat installation, ensuring an easy extension of
DisplayPort. The unit is DisplayPort 1.1 Compliant and DPCP
Compliant.
How It Works
Connect the Sender pigtail end to the DisplayPort source and
connect the receiver pigtail end to the display. Plug in a one-strand
50/125µm multimode (OM2) SC-terminated fiber optic cable to the
Receiver unit from the Transmitter. Plug the power supply into the
Receiver (Rx), and a stunning HD picture will show on your display.
Note: You don’t need to power the Sender module externally unless
the source does not supply sufficient power via the DisplayPort
connector.
