FAQs
We have a complex light condition in our building and usually auto settings failed to deliver perfect image. Is there a way to adjust image manually?
BG-NDI cameras have the tools to adjust any video parameters – focus, exposure, color, image or level of noise reduction.
Does this camera include IR Remote Control?
Yes, all our cameras (excluding passive webcams) comes with IR Remote Control. You can use one remote control unit to control multiple alike cameras. You can control pan, tilt, zoom, navigate menu and use multiple camera preset positions which is very convenient in any application when you need quickly point camera into the predetermined spot and zoom accordingly (like selecting active person at the conference table during the meeting, or switching from general view of the stage to the speaker podium in house of worship).
Are these cameras POE?
Yes, BG-NDI cameras could be Powered Over Ethernet cable (POE) as well as included power adapter.
What is the total zoom of these cameras?
Total maximum zoom is a max optical zoom multiplied to max digital zoom. So for 12x optical zoom lenses and 10x digital zoom (all BG-NDI have 10x digital zoom) the total zoom will be 120X and for the 30x optical zoom lenses total zoom will be 300X. Reminder – digital zoom is a cropping image down to the center area with saving original aspect ratio and interpolating this image back to the original resolution – this programmable method not involving adjustments to the camera hardware. Expect degrading of image quality after reaching maximum optical zoom and using digital.
Can I use NDI over WiFi?
Not a great idea…yet. NDI technology is bandwidth-hungry. More to that – it sensitive to network infrastructure. If it is Ok for data to have lost network packages or coming not in a right sequence, having some bottle-necks on the way – it is not Ok for video-over-IP applications. So you will need to have Gigabit network switch and to connect your PC with ethernet cable. We are sure that soon it will be possible to have your video receiving PC connected wirelessly to the network … it just not there yet.
Can BG-NDI use NewTek’s virtual input?
BG-NDI is fully compatible with NewTek’s NDI v4.0 – latest NDI library and compatible with all the tools NewTek created for NDI enabled devices.
