The UHBX-4X converts 4 HDMI inputs to corresponding HDBaseT™
outputs and extends the signal to a distance of 150 meters (500 ft)
via one single UTP. It supports resolutions of 3D, Deep Color, HDCP,
CEC, and 4K/UHD resolutions. Low-cost self-powered UH-1BT-R and UH-
1BTX-R are compatible receivers which extend HDMI to 230 ft or 330 ft
respectively or the UHBX-R-PD that supports IR, RS-232, PoH, and Long
Reach modes to 500 ft. PoH receivers use one optional 48v power supply
for the 8-channel sender (power supply part number: 511-PS4812).
Controlled via IP (Ethernet) and RS-232 ports, the user can address
and send IR or RS-232 commands to any receiver to control the display.
It allows bi-directional IR signals. This device creates IR commands
itself through RS-232 or IP control ports. It has a jack for IR
detector cable. It routes the IR received to one or more outputs. Four
separate IR emitter ports are on the back of the unit used if a user
connects IR detectors at remote locations. This emitter is best for
controlling multiple sources in a kit with the UHBX-4X.
The UHBX-4X can be used by on its own, for example in a rack with
four video sources such as AV receivers. It's also used in combination
with the Hall Research 4x4 HDMI matrix to give cross-point
capabilities. Hall Research offers 5 inch HDMI cables to interlink the
two. The UHBX-4X chassis is similar to UHBX-8X, and it can be factory
upgraded to eight channels if necessary.
