PAL to NTSC Converters
All the different countries in the world use different analog and digital television encoding formats. PAL stands for Phase Alternating Line and is a format that is used in Europe, Asia including Australia and in some countries in Africa. NTSC stands for National Television System Committee and is a color TV standard for the Unites States, Canada, Japan including other countries in North and South America. Why would you need to convert PAL to NTSC or vice versa? An example scenario is if you record your video in Europe using a PAL camcorder, people in the US will not be able to watch it on their VCR's. The same is true for digital video. A DVD recorded in PAL format can't be played on a DVD player that supports only NTSC format. In this situation, what you'll need is a PAL to NTSC converter or vice versa. Many of the PAL/NTSC converters are able to work both ways regarding converting PAL and NTSC formats.
