Three New Automation and Control Systems Using Wi-Fi-Enabled Tablets and Phones by Gefen

The new automation systems, designed by Gefen, are versatile and may be used in a wide variety of settings. They provide a comprehensive method of controlling every audio/video device in a setup and additional features such as HVCA control and lighting

Professional Automation Control System (PACS)

The PACS simplifies the control of switchers, distribution amplifiers, HDTV displays, scalers and more, with three RS-232, ten contact closures and eight IR emitters from a central interface. A/V devices equipped with RS-232 or IR can be efficiently accessed by this control system. Volume levels, on/off power and video distribution can be controlled via IP with a simple web interface. Users can access A/V systems from anywhere using their computers or laptops. Pre-configured commands can be memorized by storing IR commands in PACS. This feature makes it simple to automate and centralize A/V devices.

Mini Professional Automation Control System (Mini PACS)

The Mini PACS system has the same features as the PACS, but it is scaled down and can be wall mounted having one RS-232, two relay closures and three IR emitters. This is perfect solution for A/V setups where equipment may not be installed in a single rack, and a great choice for distributed systems that may require a cost-effective anytime/anywhere access.

Gefen Audio/Video Automation System (GAVA)

GAVA can work together with PACS, which gives an option to control all key A/V features in a home with an additional feature to automate HVAC, lighting and more just by using tablet or smart phone. GAVA allows control via an interface that can work with all tablets and smart phones, while PACS can be pre-programmed to store all RS-232 and IR commands for connected devices. It is optimized to work with Android, iPhone and iPad as the control devices. Users can control any connected device from anywhere through their tablets or smart phones when GAVA is working together with PACS. This control system is also very easy to program with a help of an intuitive configurator process which can be managed  by anyone in minutes. Therefore integrators and installers can easily demonstrate and sell this system because of its plug and play design. Quick and simple setup without a training and extensive programming is possible with its user-friendly interface. It also doesn’t require Internet access for configuration or use, even though it is designed to work on network.
