The new MV−6 3G HD−SDI Multiviewer by Kramer

Kramer Electronics is presenting a versatile, high-performance multiviewer for 3G HD-SDI video signals – MV-6. This unit can display any combination of 6 inputs and output the multiple formats image, supporting either customizable or pre-programmed screen divisions.

 

The MV-6 device is HDTV compatible and has maximum input data rate of 3Gbps. The Kramer’s Klocking™ & Equalization technology, featured in this product, makes digital signal travelling longer distances.

 

This device can support variety of definitions, such as standard definition, high definition, and 3G high definition serial digital video signals (SD/HD-SDI/SG HD-SDI). The MV-6 can support data rates of 270Mbps, 1483.5Mbps, 1485Mbps, 2967Mbps and 2970Mbp and is compatible with SMPTE 259M, 292M and 424M signals. Every input has a re-clocked looping corresponding output. On the output side MV-6 has a composite and HDMI video output, and supports SDI (259M),  HD−SDI (292M) and 3G HD−SDI (SMPTE 424M) serial digital signals.

 

The MV-6 can be controlled via Ethernet, RS-232 (PC control software is included), and also by IR remote. Output signal can be displayed on the 4.3” (16:9) color LCD preview screen that is located at the front panel. Features like freezing, resizing and picture positioning buttons at the front panel, as well as two user−definable screen handling  and four pre−programmed buttons make a control and operation of this unit very simple.

This multiviewer is designed to be used for applications like presentation, staging, rental and also for use in production studios, and is great for broadcasting purposes.

 

It has a rack “ears” and housed in a standard  19” 2U rack-mountable enclosure.
