ISE 2018 Integrates Thrills Into the Future of AV

Integrated Systems Europe is the largest AV systems integration show on the planet. ISE 2018 runs four days from February 6–9 and is being held at RAI Amsterdam, Netherlands. The show highlights the freshest technology, solutions, and products for channel and end-user professionals. Along with the 1,200 exhibitors spread throughout 15 halls, attendees are treated to an extensive education and personal development program presented by CEDIA and AVIXA. In addition, many keynote speeches, conferences, and show floor features will pack the four-day schedule. ISE is the perfect event for socializing, networking, and developing new business acquaintances.

With ISE 2018 complete, many of our partners had productive exhibits, enjoying their time and experience there. Introducing their newest lineup of solutions, attendees left excited and anxious for what else our partners have for them in 2018. Let’s visit some of our partners’ exhibits and see what they revealed.

Atlona

Atlona showed off their networked control system Velocity and was rewarded a Top New Technology Award at ISE 2018. Velocity is extremely scalable and built to stop downtime and maximize redundancy in multi-room AV systems. Providing an adaptable platform for controlling Atlona and third-party devices, its network-based system management method allows control system configuration via a web browser along with offset devices.

Velocity consists of three unique elements working together as a unified platform: Velocity Cloud, a centralized resource online for remote monitoring, service, and configuration; Velocity Control Gateway, an IP-based control processor with auto failover abilities; and Velocity Touch Panels, available in screen sizes of 5.5 inches and 8 inches.

tvONE

tvONE launches CORIOview, a super fast and intuitive 8 input 1/2RU 4K Ultra HD multi-window processor. Compact in size, CORIOview displays its 8 inputs in any of the eight video windows with ultra-low latency. This device is perfect for IP streaming along with AV, Broadcast and legacy inputs, and S/PDIF or embedded audio outputs. It supports mixed input types, source labeling, color borders, audio delay, audio meters, and logo insertion. In addition, it supports preset and source transitions, offers portrait and landscape output options when displaying, and is capable of LED wall implementation with custom resolution management.

Flexibility and usability are key factors of the CORIOview. Controlling the unit can be done through the front panel, CORIOgrapher, or the API. This plug-and-play solution has auto-layout functionality that automates preset selection. With more advanced applications, the front panel allows full control with pre-programmable or user definable presets, audio, and video switching. It also has an “info” button displaying on-screen information on the window and source selection.

Avenview

The AVSignPro line of digital signage players from Avenview gets fitted with a location-based GPS Trigger for playing back content. Traditionally, digital signage content automatically plays and ends on a schedule or repeating loop. GPS triggering now enhances the relevance of your content by featuring real time location-based triggering of that content. Users can now create parameters and playlists for playback, along with thresholds for distances from different locations. GPS triggering is ideal for the transportation industry, mobile advertising, tourism, or other multi-location industries.

The AVSignPro series allows users to transform any display into an effective marketing tool, using it to communicate, engage, and entertain their audience. Professional high definition, 4K-quality content, and live video can display nonstop with unique layouts, informative widgets, and a flexible setup.

ZeeVee

ZyPer4K is an AV over IP signal distribution solution. During ISE 2018, ZeeVee introduces a meeting-in-a-box starter kit that leverages ZyPer4K and AV over IP with minimal fuss. It distributes zero latency, uncompressed 4K video with little configuration and installation time. There’s no need for two-day training courses as ZyPer4K is plug-and-play. Nor are complex control systems needed as the ZyPer MaestroZ interface allows control from any device connected to the ZyPer network.

Three sources can be connected to two screens, expanding up to eight more devices. The ZyPer4K starter kit can be configured to connect various meeting rooms, delivering pixel-for-pixel quality of any image resolution with zero latency.

AVProConnect

AVProConnect showcases the AC-EX100-444-KIT point-to-point HDMI extender. It is AVProCOnnect’s first 18Gbps copper extender using Invisible Compression Technology (ICT) that manages all flavors of HDR and Dolby Vision. It delivers virtually lossless 4K HDR signals with high bandwidth to 70m over a single CAT cable (100m for 1080p). HDR Metadata and Deep Color remain uncompromised creating a transmission free from artifacts such as banding. Along with the normal 5-play HDBaseT (video, audio, control, power, and Ethernet), the AC-EX100-444 extends USB allowing control of a computer or camera remotely. It also features EDID management, scaling, left-right audio breakouts, built-in 4K test patterns, RS-232, IR, and Ethernet.

Key Digital

KD-IP922 Decoder

Key Digital spotlights a number of feature-packed products including KD-IP922, an AV over IP solution for digital signage; KD-PRO8x8D, an HDMI / HDBaseT matrix with audio output and ARC DSP; and KD-PROG HDMI cables supporting 18 Gbps and industry-leading lengths of 75 ft (23m).

The KD-IP922 system consists of a 4K/UHD encoder and decoder incorporating KVM, video wall builder, and simple expansion method over 48 port network switch. It supports 10 horizontal and 10 vertical displays for a maximum video wall of 100 panels. The video wall configuration adjusts from the Key Digital App, Compass Control Pro control system, or universal management software.

KD-PRO8x8D is a high-performance matrix switcher with ARC DSP and output audio featuring two long-range and six standard-range HDBaseT receivers. This matrix switcher complies with HDCP 2.2 standards, allowing encrypted content to distribute from playback devices like 4K set top boxes, UHD Blu-ray players, high resolution data, and 4K streaming players. The KD-PRO8x8D supports 4K/UHD and resolutions of 4096×2160/24.

KD-PROG is an HDMI cable supporting bandwidths of 18 Gbps and incorporates Key Digital’s exclusive Booster Tech technology. Installations using the cable are the only copper-based solution for reliability in the field. Key Digital is proud to be the only manufacturer delivering full-circle system integrity.
