How A 4K Matrix Switcher Liven Jack Russell Brewery’s Grand Opening

BZB Express has been helping consumers, integrators & business owners find the right solution for their AV needs in the last 11 years. While BZB Express maintains a fully stocked warehouse and an excellent relationship with its manufacturers, it’s the customer care and support during the sales process that stands out. We’d like to share a story about John Gardner and the challenges he had to face regarding opening his new pub, Jack Russell Brewery Downtown.

Placerville, CA is a quaint California gold rush town named after the placer gold deposits discovered in its riverbeds & hills in the late 1840’s. Centrally located halfway Sacramento & South Lake Tahoe, Placerville holds a population of 10,350 residents. Serving as a “hub” for various nearby destinations and activities, Placerville is a well-situated city suited for Jack Russell Brewery Downtown.

Setting up a new audio and video system for the pub was a challenge for John. The issue was running HDMI cables to work with his new 4K equipment & 4K displays. The pub has nine 4K displays that are installed in multiple zones of the venue. HDMI cables can only take you so far, literally 50 feet. It was then that John reached out to BZB Express to tell us his concerns with the pubs AV system.

John wants to send the 4K signals from the nine source devices to any of the nine 4K displays and control them conveniently. Since some of the displays were placed over 50 feet away from the central rack, John needed a device that can extend the 4K signal long distance with the ability to manage any of the source devices to any of the 4K displays. John understood that the solution & equipment he’s searching for would be an investment. He was able to meet with a BZB representative and put his hands on the equipment and ask questions about how the devices were going send 4K signals to the nine 4K displays.

The solution BZB recommended was Key Digital’s KD-HD6x6Lite & KD-HD4x4Lite matrix switchers plus ten KD-CATHD250POH receivers. The matrix switchers built-in HDBaseT technology allowed John to send the 4K signal from his nine source devices up to 120 feet via CAT5e/6 cabling to the receivers connected to his nine 4K displays via HDMI. John can now control any of his cable boxes & the content on each of the displays seamlessly from the front panel of the matrix switcher, optical IR, USB port, TCP/IP or RS-232 with full bi-directional operation. Below is a video of John’s testimonial about the pubs new AV system and the customer care BZB Express was able to provide.
