Sports Bar Systems

What Every Sports Bar Needs To Be Competitive & Popular

Are you seeking to enter the sports bar business or do you need a renovation to your bar? October and November is one of the most exciting months for sports in the U.S. The MLB playoffs happen in October, NFL is on schedule and the NBA season kicks off the season on Oct. 27th, 2015. Sports-themed bars are great choices because a sports bar already has a customer base. Sports fanatics enjoy gathering in establishments with friends to watch their favorite teams while eating good food and great drinks. So, what does it take for a sports bar to become a popular place to unite throughout the year?

There are 3 major elements that are needed for a bar to be successful. First is a menu loaded with tasty food, secondly, is a liquor license to accommodate the sports fanatics, and thirdly is a high-end Audio Video System. Of course, the most important is latter; how else are you going to bring in the sports to your bar? Today, we want to introduce a product of the future that will tie in your AV system in a rack to control all your HDMI sources like cable boxes and HDTV’s.

The AT-UHD-PRO3-1616M is a 4K/UHD 16×16 HDMI to HDBaseT Matrix Switcher with PoE for 4K/UHD @ 60Hz video signals with Power over Ethernet for receivers and analog audio breakout. The matrix provides both extended distance, 328 foot (100 meter) and long distance, 230 foot (70 meter) HDBaseT transmission over category cable. What this means is that you can place up to 16 HD, UHD or 4K displays long distances away from the main rack with the matrix and HDMI sources. Power over Ethernet for receivers saves cost on power and the need for additional AC outlets. Stereo, line level audio breakout with volume, mute, and 5-band EQ provides audio signal routing to a sound system.

This innovative matrix from Atlona also provides convenient bi-directional extension of both RS-232 and IR Control. What this means is flexible control options that are compatible with 3rd-party control systems. In addition, four HDMI outputs are provided as mirrored outputs designed for routing HDMI-based audio to an AVR or as additional matrix outputs. The matrix switcher is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports EDID communication. What this translates too is compatibility with ultra-high definition PCs and other sources and displays and adheres to the latest content protection specification. Also, this new matrix switcher future proofs AV systems in preparation for technology improvements, 4K/UHD streaming services and playback devices. Designed for multi-zone residential or commercial distribution applications such as Sports Bars, the AT-UHD-PRO3-1616M features a 2U, rack-mountable enclosure with an internal, international power supply.

The AT-UHD-PRO3-1616M is ideal for professional installation in Sports Bars as well as:

    • Large, multi-zone applications to distribute multiple AV signals along with control signals. Eight, 328 feet HDBaseT outputs pair with AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX receivers and eight, 230 feet HDBaseT outputs work with AT-UHD-EX-70C-RX receivers to meet a variety of distribution distances and needs throughout a sports bar.
    • Complex Residential AV systems with multiple multi-channel home entertainments systems and distributed audio systems. Twelve unbalanced audio outputs on captive screw connectors simplify connection to multichannel amplifiers for zoned audio where level, mute, and a 5-band graphic EQ can be applied in the matrix switcher for each zone.
