Power over category cable (pocc) describes any of several standardized systems which pass electrical power along with data on a single cat5/6 cable. Unlike USB standard, the benefit of Pocc is the transmission of data and power over a long distance. The Pocc feature is standard with many AV devices currently, however there are still many perfectly working devices that are not utilizing Pocc.

The Atlona Mid-Span Power Supply allows non PoCc units tointegrate with other HDBaseT products that require PoCc. Connection is easy for the AT-PS-POCC.  Simply install the AT-PS-POCC mid run between two Atlona products and they will receive the power they need. The AT-PS-POCC supports distances of up to 330 feet and pass through resolutions up to 4Kx2K or 1920×1200. This unit is also 3D compatible and HDCP compliant.
