Cascade In/Out Ports (4/8-Port Models)

  • Two RJ45 jacks.
  • A maximum of 17 systems can be used in a cascaded configuration via RS485 to increase the number of outlets and sensor ports (1 master, 16 slaves).
  • 1) Each slave unit needs its own unique RS485 address value that can range from 1-255.
  • 2) Use CAT5/5e/6 patch cables with RJ45 connectors wired straight through
  • 3) Up to 1,000 feet between the master unit and the slave unit.
  • 4) The last slave must have a terminating plug (ENVIROMUX-TRMPLG, not included) in the empty socket.

The ENVIROMUX® Secure Remote Power Control Unit allows you to remotely reboot and control power (on/off) to up to eight servers or other powered devices from any location via secure web interface, RS232, SSH, or Telnet.

Features:

  • Three operating modes for power reboot:
  • 1) Manual – select the outlet and turn the power on/off.
  • 2) Scheduled – set date/time/duration of power cycle.
  • 3) Associated – power on/off a device when a sensor goes out of range of a user-defined threshold, or reboot unresponsive IP devices.
  • Security: HTTPS, SSHv2, SSLv3, TLS (4/8-port models only), IP Filtering, LDAPv3, AES 256-bit encryption, 16-character username/password authentication, user account restricted access rights.
  • Configure, control and monitor the unit via Web interface or Command Line Interface (CLI).
  • Up to 3 additional IP aliases can be configured to allow remote control of the unit using different networks.
  • 1) No scripts required - simply add the IP address, network mask, and gateway configurations through the web interface.
  • 2) The first network (default network) will be used for total control of the unit, i.e. inbound and outbound connections.
