HDMI Video converters
High-Definitioni Multimedia Interface also known to consumers as HDMI is as AV interface for sending uncompressed video and audio from an HDMI source to a compatible HDMI display such as a PC monitor, HDTV, projector or a digital audio unit. The AV world has come to know HDMI as the digital replacement of analog video standards including composite, component, S-Video and VGA. The purpose of an HDMI converter is to typically take an analog signal such as composite, component, S-Video, VGA and convert it to HDMI. There are also HDMI converters that do the total opposite by taking an HDMI signal and converting to analog. HDMI converters are common in residential, home theater, classroom or multimedia environments.
