Fiber Optic Link Cables
Fiber Optic Link cables provide data connection between two points and consists of a data transmitter, a transmission fiber and receiver. These components are based on fiber optics and in many cases fiber amplifiers are placed between the transmitter and receiver for long transmissions. These cables are designed to either be single mode fiber or multiple mode fiber which allows multiple modes of light to propagate, hence more data. On the other hand, a multimode fiber optic cable has a high dispersion and attenuation rate reducing signal quality over long distances. Fiber optics Data transmissions are typically digital for fiber link cables which make them suitable for HDMI and DVI systems. Fiber Optic Link cables come in many lengths with many of them long to supplement long range applications.
