Amplifiers and Splitters
The purpose of an amplifier is to boost a signal, whereas splitters can split a single signal in 2, 8, 16, 32 or more. Splitters have the ability to divide a signal to the same format output. Advanced splitters can also convert signals to travel over UTP/Cat5/6/7 or fiber. For this type of purpose, a receiver is needed for each output. Many amplifiers and splitters now have the POE (power over Ethernet) capability allowing such units to pass electrical power over a Cat5/6/7 cable to power the receiver.
Distribution amplifiers and splitters are made in different video formats such as HDMI, DVI, VGA and other multifunctional analog signals.
Brands such as Atlona, Gefen, Kramer, Shinybow, Hall Research, TVOne and Magenta are leaders in the AV market developing superb distribution amplifiers and splitters. For more solutions, please contact a BZB Express representative if you have any questions regarding any application.
